When you think of conveyor systems, you might think about traditional conveyor belts and their accompanying systems. Even though these systems are still popular in many production facilities, they are not the only choice. Nowadays, pneumatic conveyor systems are very popular as well, and you might find that they are superior to more traditional systems for a number of reasons. These are a few reasons why this is the case:

1. There are Fewer Parts

First of all, you should consider the fact that these conveyor systems do not have nearly as many mechanical parts as more traditional conveyor systems. This is a positive thing for a few reasons. For one thing, since there are fewer parts, there are fewer things that you have to worry about going wrong with your system. Secondly, there are fewer moving parts that can cause clothing or hair to be pulled, fingers to be pinched or other potential accidents that could happen. You don't even have to worry about lubricating and maintaining a bunch of parts like you would with a traditional conveyor system. For these reasons and more, choosing a system with fewer mechanical parts is generally a good thing.

2. They're Cleaner

Another good thing about pneumatic conveyor systems is the fact that they are a lot cleaner and more sanitary. You do not have to worry as much about spills that are unsightly and potentially dangerous, and you can cut down significantly on the amount of time that your employees have to spend cleaning around the production line. Plus, you can help avoid the product loss that can go along with things falling off of a traditional conveyor belt.

3. They Don't Take Up as Much Space

In even the largest of production facilities, space can still be an issue. After all, industrial machinery and equipment can take up a lot of space. If you choose a pneumatic conveyor system, however, you're sure to see that the system takes up a lot less space. Plus, these systems are often considered to be more flexible installation-wise, since they can be installed around your existing equipment rather than requiring you to have to move everything and make major changes.

As you can see, pneumatic conveyor systems are superior to more traditional types of conveyor systems in a number of ways. If you are looking to install a conveyor system in your production facility, you may want to consider a pneumatic conveyor system for these reasons and more.
